Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aluminum plate with small fins and the etching aluminum were used as the structured catalyst and introduced to the micro reactor in order to improve the reactivity of gas-phase reactions. The reactivity of the structured catalyst was compared with that of the plane plate catalyst and the granular type catalyst. In the case of the plate catalyst with small fins, it was found that the reactivity was improved on the condition that the effect of convective flux was larger than that of diffusion flux. In the case of the etching aluminum, it was found that the reactivity was improved since the effect of external diffusion was small.
