Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we first clarified the relationship between the farmland stone wall and the surface geology, from the field survey and surface geology map in Japan. We also conducted a series of model experiments comparing the masonry retaining wall and the concrete retaining wall. As a result, it was found that the stone wall of about 2 m has the same strength as that of the concrete retaining wall. Next, we conducted questionnaires on farmers' inheritance of stone wall constructing technique and small scale disaster restoration system. As a result, conservation awareness of farmers to the stone wall scape is not much affected by the restoration system and the accreditation system, and daily managements of stone walls are laborious, but in repair at the time of collapse stone walls are chosen.
