Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study we examined sustainable management system to bring mutual prosperity between urban parks and their surrounding regions. We investigated park management in Japan through questionnaire, literature and interview surveys. Based on these survey results, we have organized current status and problems of the park management contributing to the regions in Japan. In addition, targeting Michinoku Lakewood National Government Park, we showed methods and problems of the park management system contributing to the regions based on investigation of park management practices in Michinoku Lakewood National Government Park and the interview survey to its stakeholders.
