| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究の初年度（平成26年度）の合成目標としたSulfoquinovosylacylglycerol (SQAG)について、様々な官能基を導入できる新合成ルートを確立し、Chem. Pharm. Bullに投稿、アクセプトされた。また、この論文は、同誌の”Highlighted paper selected by Editor-in-Chief” (2017年6月号)に選出された。
さらに、平成27年度に引き続いて、癌細胞での過剰発現が報告されているグルコーストランスポーターを標的とした新規ホウ素キャリアーを、D-glucosamine 誘導体から数工程で合成し、それらの化合物のHeLa-S3、A549細胞に対する細胞毒性と細胞導入率、WST-assay、ICP-AES・ICP-MSを用いて測定した。平成27年度に合成した化合物は、いずれも低毒性であったものの、細胞への取り込みは認められなかった。しかし、平成28年度に改良した化合物は、低毒性かつA549細胞への取り込みが認められた。現在、グルコーストランスポーターの基質または阻害剤としての可能性を検討中である。
一方、o-カルボランを有する化合物が、中性pH水溶液中でCu(II)イオンによって分解され、10モルのホウ酸が生成することを見出し、11B MRIプローブへ応用して論文発表した（Tanaka, T. et al. Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. 2016, 1819）。この分解反応には50 oCという高温が必要であったが、o-カルボランに金属配位子を結合させると、室温数時間で分解することを見出し、より迅速なCu(II)検出が可能になった。この成果について発表した論文（Tanaka, T. et al. Eur. J. Inorg. Chem. 2016, 3330）は、ChemViews Magazineで紹介された。
