Keywordsヒト細胞株 / 医療用タンパク質 / GMP
Outline of Final Research Achievements

To establish new GMP-compliant human cell lines for therapeutic protein production, we determined the conditions for making immortalized cells from human peripheral blood mononuclear cells in a non-GMP environment. Then, we improved them for a GMP environment and succeeded in obtaining human B lymphoid clones that could be cultured for a long time. The obtained clones might be mainly suitable for secreted protein production because mature B lymphocytes have the extensive endoplasmic reticulum. Further study on serum-free cell culture and cell protein productivity enhancement will lead to a practical application of therapeutic protein production using human cells.
