Outline of Final Research Achievements

414 patients were enrolled in this study. Median age was 81 years, and mean left ventricular ejection fraction was 48%. Approximately 50% of patients showed preserved ejection fraction (LVEF>50%). Primary end-point was composite of all cause death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, non-fatal stroke, and unexpected admission for heart failure. Patients are going to be followed up for 3 years.
In this study, more females with preserved ejection fraction were affected heart failure in octogenarians. Anemia, renal insufficiency, and increased arterial stiffness were evident in our population.
