Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In in vitro experiments using pancreatic beta cell line, glucocorticoid induced TBP-2-overexpression, however, role of TBP-2 in impairment of glucose-induced insulin secretion is not clear. In in vivo experiments, glucocorticoid-treatment brought about insulin resistance and reduced insulin signaling, but did not necessarily induce TBP-2-overexpression in skeletal muscle and liver. Therefore, role of TBP-2 in glucocorticoid-induced insulin resistance is not significant.
