Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) is widely used for unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma. Recently, TACE using microspheres has been developed. In this study, in a rabbit liver tumor model, TACE using microspheres was evaluated. When comparing TACE using starch microspheres mixed with cisplatin arterial infusion, TACE was superior in the tumor drug concentration and the efficacy. In addition, microspheres dissolved within 24 hours.
