Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We had developed virtual reality mirror visual feedback therapy (VR-MVF). In the present study we developed it into the system which can be connected to internet. It enables patients with intractable pain in the world to get the benefit of VR-MVF. It has been speculated that VR-MVF providing analgesic effect depends on the sense of agency. We conducted another study using robotic hand to clarify the factors that are important to feel sense of agency. The result showed sense of agency diminished as delay of action increased.
