| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
In the past year we have achieved some significant success in both research and outreach. with 10 journal publications and 2 conference proceeding publications in 2016 and four publications in early 2017 and a further 3 in review. We received significant media coverage on several of our papers, including a feature article in IEEE Computer in quantum programming, a feature article in ACM-XRDS on the meQuanics quantum computing game platform and articles on a Science Advances article presenting a blueprint for a quantum computer in ion-trap systems. In 2016 we presented our work at the Banff international research school in quantum software in Canada, The Summit on human problem solving and artificial intelligence in Denmark and the Conference in post quantum cryptography in China.
