Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では,詰将棋を題材としてコンピュータによる自動創作および美観評価について探求した.囲碁や将棋のようなミニマックス探索としてモデル化できる二人思考ゲームの終盤に現れる詰問題はAND/OR木探索によって解くことができる.あるいは,芸術作品として創作される詰将棋も同様である.創作と美観評価のためにはAND/OR木探索のアルゴリズムをより洗練させるべく深く探求することが欠かせない.現在,証明数を用いた探索アルゴリズム(Proof-number search or PNS)が最強のソルバーとして認識されているが,いくつかの脆弱性を抱えている.PNSは最良優先型の探索アルゴリズムであるため,メモリ制約のため難解な問題は解けなかったが,深さ優先型の証明数探索(df-pn)が考案され多いな発展を遂げて今日に至っている.証明数の最難関の課題と言われているのはシーソー効果である.バランスのとれた探索木の場合,証明数の指標がうまく働かないことに起因する.この問題を解決するために,本研究では,深層証明数探索(Deep proof-number search)と名付けた新たな探索アルゴリズムを考案した.本アルゴリズムはパラメータR1を適切に調整することで df-pn と深さ優先アルゴリズムの融合としてバランスよく探索できるようになった.さらに,Deep df-pn へと発展させ,証明数探索に関する大きな発展に貢献できた.次に,試行錯誤の結果,詰将棋の美観と自動創作に関する大きな課題の一つは初形の作にあることを発見した.その解決策として,shape keeping heuristicsを考案した.優れた短手数問題の初形からスタートして,初形に配置された各駒を他の駒との入れ替えを行い,難易度が最高の問題を選別することで,難易度が高く,かつ美観についても印象の良い問題を創作できることがわかった.
