Outline of Final Research Achievements

We recently found that glycogen shortage during fasting triggers liver-brain-adipose neurocircuitry to facilitate fat utilization (Nature Commun. 2013). In the current study, we tried to identify the glycogen sensor in the liver. Through transcriptome analyses, we found several candidate genes of these glycogen sensors.
