量子マグノニクスの創生

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

巨視的な自由度としての強磁性体中の集団スピン励起の量子であるマグノンの量子状態を自在に制御する「量子マグノニクス」を提案し，それを実現した．強磁性絶縁体イットリウム鉄ガーネット（YIG）単結晶球を用いた実験を行い，当該年度には以下の成果を得た．
1．マイクロ波共振器モードを介したYIG球中のマグノンと超伝導量子ビット励起とのコヒーレントな結合を，マグノン真空ラビ振動として観測した．
2．上と同様の実験系において，YIG球中の励起マグノン数に応じて量子ビットが受ける離散的なACシュタルクシフトを観測し，それにより分裂したスペクトルの重みからマグノン数分布を観測した．マグノン励起マイクロ波強度に依存して，マグノン数分布がポアソン分布に従うことを見出した．
3．YIG球上のウィスパリングギャラリーモードに，テーパーナノファイバーを介して通信波長帯のレーザー光を結合し，室温下でマグノン励起と光との相互作用について調べた．マグノン誘起ブリルアン散乱のストークス成分とアンチストークス成分に大きな非対称性を見出し，その要因を光とマグノンの間のスピン角運動量保存則で説明した．
