Outline of Final Research Achievements

In order to increase the temporal resolution of paleomagnetic record before a few Ma, we conducted paleomagnetic study on ocean drilling samples. We also developed a high-temperature magnetometer. A prototype of the magnetometer successfully operated, and future challenges to increase sensitivity and temperature control are clarified.
