Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we have aimed to develop a new activation method of carbon dioxide by transition metal complexes towards its novel synthetic utilization. We found that, in the presence of hydrosilanes, which have the high oxophilicity, a transition metal complex can transform carbon dioxide to cabon monoxide. Furthermore, a catalytic carbonylation reaction using carbon dioxide as a carbonyl source has been produced using the above process.
