Outline of Final Research Achievements

Recently, much effort has been devoted to realize nm-sized electronic devices using sophisticated nanofabrication techniques. Assessing the thermal properties of such tiny devices is mandatory to ensure their performances. However, thermometry at the nanoscale is still lacking. The purpose of the present project is to develop single-molecule thermometry based on thermoresponsive molecular tip of STM.
