Outline of Final Research Achievements |
As RNA viruses infect cells, the viral RNA and proteins are replicated within the cells to make its progeny viruses. During the infection process, the viral RNA makes a ribonucleoprotein complex with viral nucleoprotein to prevents it degradation by RNases in cells. In this study, we synthesized a series of artificial peptide those were inspired from influenza viral RNA binding ribonucleoprotein domain sequence.Their artificial peptides were modified with gold-nanoparticle to detect influenza viral RNA. As a result, we could succeeded to enhance the detection sensitivity of influenza virus RNA genome with gold-nanparticle conjugated artificial peptides.
