Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to investigate the effective method for executing the personalized preventive medicine, genetic testing using SNP information, rare variant information and family history taking was conducted. Rare variants were analyzed using whole genome sequencing. Results of genetic testing was explained to candidates and consulting was done. Before and after genetic testing candidates were asked to answer questionnaires with regard to personalized preventive medicine including understanding of disease and health, and behavior change. Candidates were Asians and Caucasians and it was revealed that understanding of disease and health changed after consulting among Asians.
