Outline of Final Research Achievements

Possible interplay between metabolism and genomic instability during epithelial oncogenesis have been evaluated. We isolated and purified epithelial cells of Pkm gene-targeting mice, then transformed them by active mutants of Kras and EGFR. Transplantation experiments of these cells into nude mice revealed important roles for metabolic remodeling directed by Pkm.
