Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Malignant brain tumors stem cells are the primary cause of tumor development, recurrence, and resistance to treatment. Cancer stem cells express stem cell-specific surface markers and can be isolated by using a cell analyzer. We analyzed about 20 kinds of surface markers such as CD133 and CD44 expressed in malignant brain tumor stem cells over a long period of time.
