Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We analyzed expression patterns of DIO1, DIO2, DIO3, and thyroid hormone receptors in articular cartilage. In primary culture of articular chondrocytes, thyroid hormone promoted cell proliferation, and suppressed dedifferentiation. However, overexpression of DIO did not lead to similar results.
