Outline of Final Research Achievements

For our future urban society with comfort transportation, it is essential to make public transportation such as trains and subways more comfortable. In this research, to achieve the goal, we apply participatory context sensing to urban transportation. Specifically, we integrate multimodal sensor information to estimate various contexts such as congestion level in train cars, stations, and urban areas. The effectiveness of the proposed approaches is confirmed by evaluation through real experiments.
