本年は研究の総括につとめ、英文著書（単著）の準備と英文の論文発表に務めた。英文単著は２０１８年または翌年に公刊予定である。英語論文のうち一本は、“Nanban Trade and Shuinsen Trade in 16th and 17th Century Japan”, Perez Garcia, M. & De Sousa, L. (ed), Global History and New Polycentric Approaches, Palgrave Macmillanで発行され、海外からの広い反響を得ている。また国際的なアジア学の学会であるICASにおいて、Japan in the Age of Civil Wars and trading networks in Asia-focusing on import and export of military suppliesをテーマとしたパネルセッションを設け、 Commodity in the Nagasaki-Macau Trade from the Late 16th to the Early 17th Centuryを発表した。
