Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は，ナノスケールの人為的構造を導入した，光の制御が可能なスピン周期構造（ナノ光マグノニック結晶）を提案・形成し，電荷を動かさない（電荷非輸送型）光出力型スピン波演算素子の実現を目的とするものである。
（１）演算器形成：昨年度までに得られた結果の詳細をまとめ，国内外での招待講演等による報告，論文投稿を行った。さらに，本演算素子を多入出力化した。最終的に三入力一出力素子の開発に成功し，招待講演報告，論文報告を行った。（２）変換部形成：ナノ光マグノニック結晶形成に必要な磁気光学材料の新規形成方法を確立した。ニ年度目までに30倍であった磁気光学効果の増大率は，最終的に50倍に達した。本研究プロジェクト開始時点の報告を大きく引き上げる結果となった。一方で，開発した磁気光学媒体を，光キャビティ中に挿入することで，光キャビティのQ値の変調が可能で，ナノ秒オーダの光パルスのONとOFFとして磁気媒体の状態を，光を介し知ることが出来る素子を世界に先駆けて開発した。（３）媒体形成：10ナノメートルオーダの磁気光学膜を形成しスピン波の伝送，位相干渉ロジック素子の動作を実証することに成功した。
本年度は，査読付き論文発表５件（すべてが国際共著論文かつオープンアクセス），国内・国際会議発表35件（うち招待講演6件，国際会議発表14件），特許出願1件を行った。
さらに，学内外の広報機関の協力を得て，プレスリリース等により，本件の紹介をした。
