Outline of Annual Research Achievements

「あかり」中間赤外線全天サーベイデータを元に、宇宙空間から惑星形成に至るまでの固体粒子の物質進化を理解し、物質の物理状態と進化条件から、星間現象や惑星系形成過程を理解する手法を確立しようとしてきた。今年度、星間物質に関しては、「あかり」の中間赤外線全天サーベイマップを元に、銀河系内側の星形成領域において、有機物の衝撃波による変性を検出し、それを領域の物理の理解に応用する手法を確立した ( Hattori et al. 2016; Yamagishi et al. 2016)。惑星系形成過程における主系列星まわりの塵円盤 (デブリ円盤) に関しては、これまでにも「あかり」の中間赤外線全天サーベイで検出した天体 (Ishihara et al. 2017b) について、すばる望遠鏡で波長8-13 μmでの分光追観測を行ってきた。今年度も新たに6天体の追観測を行い、その結果、中心星の放射圧と重力から計算すると、長期間存在できないはずの小さな塵粒子や有機物が、何らかの機構により、惑星系内に~10年に渡って保持されている様子が明らかになってきた。一番身近な惑星系である、太陽系の塵円盤に関しては、内側軌道からの炭素系粒子の供給 (Ishihara et al. 2017a) や、地球の共鳴軌道に捕獲される粒子の性質 (Ueda et al. 2017) 等、塵粒子の物理状態・既存の惑星との相互作用の理解が進んだ。

昨年度、黄道光の高精度モデリングをやりなおした分、遅延が出ている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

星間空間の有機物の局所的性質の調査については、これまで銀河系の内側方向に対して行っていた研究を、銀河系外縁部に広げ、金属量の違う環境での性質も総合的に議論する。
惑星形成過程と推定される塵円盤に関しては、「あかり」によるサーベイで検出した天体の、すばる望遠鏡/COMICS等による、分光追観測をさらに進め、円盤中の塵粒子の物理を議論する。また、ガスと固体の相互作用を調べるために、ガス観測をASTE, ALMA等を使って進める。
太陽系の塵粒子 (黄道光) に関しては、モデリングが不十分のまま残っている唯一の成分である、ダストバンド (小惑星帯起源の成分) のモデリングを行い、惑星系における塵粒子の物理と物質進化の包括的議論に繋げる。これらの観測事実から、星間空間から惑星形成に至るまでの物質進化を議論し、物質の物理状態から天体現象そのものを解明する手法を確立する。

Causes of Carryover

昨年度までに支払う予定だった、少なくとも2本分の論文の投稿料の支払いのタイミングが、今年度にずれこんだ。さらに、これまでの作業結果を受けて、また黄道光の高精細モデリングのやりなおしにより計画が少し遅延したこともあり、今年度に成果発表の機会・投稿論文数が集中する予定である。
