Outline of Final Research Achievements

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression by binding to the 3’ unltanslated region of target mRNAs. It has been demonstrated that several tissue-specific miRNAs can modulate cellular reprogramming. In this study, we tried to construct a cytoplasmic RNA vector, based on Sendai virus, which not only produces miRNAs but also inhibits the miRNA activity, so as to apply in cellular reprogramming.
