Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to construct figurative language instructional model in early childhood physical education. Expert physical education teachers’ beliefs about figurative language instruction could be explained by ideas that fall under three categories: “empathic relationship-building,” “evocation of spontaneous awareness,” and “encouraging everyday reflection.” Expert physical education teachers encouraged infants in exploring sensations of motor skill through figurative language selected as part of the responsive relationship, thus enabling infants to attach their own meaning to their experiences.
