| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to establish sustainable urban management system in shrinking Japanese cities through comparison with the result of geographical field surveys in Canadian cities. To achieve it, we conducted field surveys in Toronto, Vancouver, and Portland in the U.S. In addition, we visited Spanish and British cities which also challenge urban shrinkage and an increase in vacuum space within cities.
