平成３０年度は，研究計画で示した研究課題である(1)医療扶助制度，(2)社会環境と出産費用の研究を進めた。
（１）の入院に関する研究成果は”Medical Assistance System and Inpatient Health Care Provision: Empirical Evidence from Short-term Hospitalization in Japan”として国際的な査読付学術雑誌『PLoS One』誌に，入院外に関する研究成果は”The Public Assistance System and Outpatient Utilization in Japan”として国際的な学術雑誌に投稿中である。
（２）の研究成果は”Public and Social Environment Changes and Caesarean Section Delivery Choice in Japan”として国際的な査読付学術雑誌『BMC Research Notes』誌に掲載され，またその日本語の概要が「社会環境の変化と帝王切開分娩手術の選択」として『Progress in Medicine』誌に掲載された。
