Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study clarified a new stage of teachers' professional community which became the main strategy of school reform, through examining the 10 years process of Bay Area School Reform Collaborative from the following three point of view: the Stanford CRC’s evaluation that identified the theory of action and developed the rubric of school reform; Merril Vargo's reflection on the choices and consequence of school reform strategies; and Milbrey Mclaughlin's considerations on the developmental stages and the transition tasks. This study illuminated the new stage of teachers' professional community that was utilized in the multiple dimensions and steps of school reform after the BASRC.
