本研究の目的は，数学の対話的本性に根ざした社会的構成主義の哲学に基づき，算数・数学の学習理論を新たに開発することである。平成27年度前期は，前年度（平成26年度）に進めた研究成果をうけて，「数学の対話的本性に基づく数学学習理論」の重要な側面であるディスコースと記号論的視点に注目し，分析的枠組みの精緻化を行った。特に，数学教育学におけるディスコース論の最新の研究成果を取り入れて，ディスコースと記号論的視点の双方から，これまで行ってきた理論的・実証的研究を発展させた。その成果を論文（英文）としてまとめ，数学教育学の国際ジャーナルに投稿中である。
また，平成27年後期には，英国エクセター大学において，社会的構成主義の創案者であるPaul Ernestと面会し，研究協議を行うことができた。また，本研究の一つの研究事例として数学的帰納法の理解の困難性を取り上げて，「言明と証明のスクリプト」及び「対話のスクリプト」を用いた調査研究を日本と英国の両国で行い，その分析結果を11月にUniversity of Readingで開催されたBritish Society for Research into Learning MathematicsのDay Conferenceにおいて口頭発表した。さらに，その研究内容を論文（英文）としてまとめ，2016年1月にInternational Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Educationに投稿し，審査を経て採択された。

平成27年度の研究活動は，学習理論に基づく分析的枠組みの精緻化を行うことができ，その成果を国際ジャーナルに投稿したり国際学会で発表したりしたことから，おおむね順調に進展していると判断される。

| Strategy for Future Research Activity |
平成28年度は，平成27年度に引き続き，新しい研究知見を取り入れながら理論的・実証的研究を進める。特に7月には4年1度の数学教育世界会議がドイツ・ハンブルクで7月に開催されるので，この会議に参加し，最新の研究情報を収集したい。また平成27年度に国際ジャーナルに投稿した論文は厳しい査読プロセスを経ることが想定されるので，論文の採択に向けて修正作業に取り組みたい。
