熱放射スペクトル制御素子の高温時赤外放射抑制による高性能エネルギーデバイスの実現

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では高温下における熱ふく射スペクトル制御デバイスの特に赤外域の放射率に着目し、高温下においても高い波長選択放射性能を持つデバイス作製を目的として研究を行った。昨年度までにNi基超合金を用いた熱ふく射スペクトル制御デバイスにおいて表面に形成される誘電体薄膜により、高温下における波長選択性能の低下が抑制されている可能性が示唆された。またその知見に基づき誘電体―金属多層膜構造を用いた高波長選択放射性能を有するデバイスを作製し評価した。
本年度はまず、Ni基超合金およびタングステン等の高融点金属材料において高温での酸化状態等を考慮した熱放射特性の解析と評価を行い、実作動環境下における熱ふく射スペクトル制御デバイスのための基礎的知見の体系化を行った。
加えて、金属表面への薄膜形成による熱放射特性の変化に注目し、金属ナノ薄膜を含む金属―誘電体多層膜構造における熱ふく射スペクトル制御メカニズムの詳細について検討を行った。その結果、この構造においては誘電体部がオプティカルキャビティの働きを担っており、それぞれのキャビティにおける許容波長の熱ふく射が放射されていること、また金属と誘電体および空気界面における光学定数が熱ふく射スペクトル制御特性に大きく影響すること、金属ナノ薄膜から放射されたそれぞれのキャビティにおける許容波長の熱ふく射が相互に干渉する新しいモードが存在することを明らかにした。これらの効果により高温下でも非常に高い波長選択放射特性を有するデバイスを実現できることが示唆された。
また1000℃以上の真空雰囲気下において長時間の耐熱・耐久試験を行い作製した多層膜構造の熱安定性を評価し、非常に優れた熱安定性を有することが明らかとなった。
