Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Die casting alloys could be kept as semi-solid state slurry in the shot sleeve by controlling a pouring temperature. In addition, very fine microstructure could be obtained by controlling the amount of initially solidified phase, which could not be obtained by conventional die casting method. Fluidity and dimensional accuracy by the proposed method were also higher than those by the conventional method.
