Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We showed that suppression of autophagy in colon cancer cells caused anti-tumor effects via enhanced apoptosis through p53 and unfolded protein response (UPR) activation. In addition, our study implies that suppressing UPR pathway is a valid strategy when colon cancer cells with mutant p53 are resistant to autophagic inhibition.
