Outline of Final Research Achievements

This study aimed to figure out the interaction between epithelial-mesenchymal transition and castration resistance, and to apply it to clinics. As a result, Twist1/androgen receptor signaling molecularly mediated crosstalk between epithelial-mesenchymal transition and castration resistance. As well, an inhibitor for epithelial-mesenchymal transition combined with androgen-deprivation therapy seems to be a promising therapeutic to prostate cancer.
