Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is elucidation on the molecular mechanisms of the carcinogenesis, invasion, and metastasis of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) via DeltaNp63-mediated epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). As the results, it is suggested that downregulation of DeltaNp63 induced EMT in OSCC. Furthermore, DeltaNp63 regulates KLK6 and miR-205 regarded as EMT-related molecules, and therefore DeltaNp63 possibly involved in acquirement of the invasion, metastasis of OSCC.
