Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Dentures called the palatal augmentation prosthesis (PAP) are used as dental treatment for dysphagia, which is feeding disorder. I investigated in order to obtain data for PAP design with more therapeutic effect.I prepared two types of PAP with different end shape and compared the difference in tongue movement when we had each PAP attached. I examined using an ultrasonography and pressure sensors. As a result, it was revealed that there was a difference in tongue movement during feeding due to the difference in the design of the end shape of PAP.
