The ancient road of Japan is the standard-like straight line way. A traffic road network has been restored by a study by the geographical material which are air photos up to now. But it's based on researcher's experience by an usual method, and the limit of the method is met. A study representative proposes the method which used a spatial analysis using GIS and an image analyses of a remote sensing to a substance-like restoration study of an ancient traffic road network. This study built a data base of road remains and ground mark about a road as a basis of the study,
