| Research Abstract |
Because of the enormous variety of antibiotics, prescribing suitable antibiotic medication has become quite a complicated job for most docters. Therefore, we thought a computer-assisted antibiotic medication counselling system useful and constructed "ANTICIPATOR".
As this system is a knowledge-based medical expert system, many kinds of knowledge are implemented in the program. This system is programmed in programming language Prolog/KR and currentli implemented and used at Tokyo University Computer Center with alpha-neumeric characters, and the Hospital Computer Center of the University of Tokyo in Kanji characters.
To promote wide-spread use of this system, we are implementing this system to lower-cost and more-available media such as still-image filling system.
