Research Abstract |
The distribution of the names of powerful clans in Yamato province shows as followings. a, Ther are famous clans named as Ootomo, Mononobe, Kose etc. in 5th century A.D. But we can not find these names of famous clans in ancient documents concerned lands of Yamato until the 10th century who were these clans became Aristcrats in Emperial court of the 8th century, then they had separeted the relation with villages and lands in Yamato province, Although Yamato province was their base of their power. But we kan find the names of ancient clans in ancient documents who atributed to the midle class of the clan system. Then we can reconstruct the ruling systems of ancient powerful clans in Yamato province. b. And furthermore, we exect the survey of the reconstruction of the ruling systems in the north east part of Yamato as model case. in this survey we found the coincidences between the distributions of ancient tombs and the clans in the ancient documents. We have made the map to define the relation between the lays of the lands and the bases of clans. So, we can elaborate on the the coincidence source of the river and the ruling system of the clan.
