Research Abstract |
A series of composit geophysical investigations on the Ophiolite belt, 'MINEOKA' was conducted in the southern part of the Boso Peninsula, Chiba prefecture, Japan. Seismic, acoustic (Airgun・sourced), geomagnetic, gravimetric and geomorphological studies were run for three fiscal years, 1984 through 1986, in this area to obtain some basic data with respect to a tectonic features in the crust and upper mantle. Regional aeromagnetic, gravimetric and sea-born magnetic field data are incorporated to explain present geophysical anomalous structure of this area.
