Research Abstract |
In the research project, co-laborative works on the investigation of testing machines and testing methods for long-term, long-period creep-fatigue were conducted, and the following items were analyzed and argued. 1. Fundamental characteristics of high temperature low cycle fatigue (LCF): Cyclic deformation behaviors, Fracture or crack behaviors, Factors affecting fatigue failure life 2. Estimating methods of failure life of high temperature LCF: Many kinds of estimating methods, Their concepts and subjects of question 3. Examples of high temperature fatigue design: Power electric plants, Nuclear energy plants, Shipping diesel engines, The present situation of fatigue design 4. Testing methods of long-term, long-period LCF: Objectives and methods of LCF testing, Testing machines for long-term, long-period LCF These were published in a report as a joint statement.
