| Research Abstract |
We have done the following research in 1985.
1. Development of new NOE techniques. In order to improve the selectivity of NOE experiments to be applied to protons with broad line width, we attempted to modulate the irradiation frequency to have narrow bandwidth and could obtain better results than those obtained by the conventional methods. Furthermore, excellent results were obtained by the use of time shared NOE which we developed.
2. Establishment of experimental conditions for multiquantum coherence experiments. We have established the most suitable conditions for carrying out relayed COSY, double relayed COSY and made some improvement of the hardware systems required by new pulse experiments such as 2D-HOHAHA.
3. Development of selective 2D methods. In order to facilitate 2D experiments with samples available in small quantity, we have devised selective COSY and selective relayed COSY.
By application of these techniques, we have determined the structures of complicated molecules.
