Research Abstract |
Recent rapid developments of microcomputers have excercised strong influences in the education too, and it is urged to find their good use in schools. In our research, following points were mainly taken up. (1) To singly out teaching materials which are most effectively treated by the use of microcomputers. Usually, one uses microcomputers as apparatus to make tudents practice their drills, but, in our reseach, we hoped to find the usage of microcomputers so that the students become more attracted to the studies. Occurence of unforeseen events, phenomenological explanation of materials, discoveries of new facts by students themselves, etc. These are our aspects for the developments of materials. (2) Pictures on the screen, sounds made be devices seem to be very attractive for students. Laser discs appear to be very effective from this point of view. In mathematics, how can we use laser discs? Especially, how can we use them in the class lessons, not in the personal studies? We worked out a system of CAI having laser disc units as its main part. (3) Studies of teaching informatics in high schools (4) Processing of personal records of students. Development of programs for making up time table in schools.
