| Research Abstract |
1. Realization of congresses: (1) The 4th workshop Text (Goethe-Institute/Tokyo) May 5,1987. About problems of German didactics and problems of Japanese Text. (2) The 7th Summer Seminar of linguistics (Amihari/Prefecture Iwate) Oct.31 - Nov.3,1987. 24 participants led by DAAD-Guest Professor Anne Betten (Eich- statt) discussed her topic of specialty: "dialogue analysis" and analytic approaches to various texts. (3) Workshop of Iwate Text Research Group: Jan. 18 - 19,1988. Hachimantai-Heights. Papers and dicussions about Text Theory of J. Kristeva and Chinese prose.
2. Th s being the last year of the present 3-Year-projekt, 18 papers written by the participants based on the various workshops and seminars were compiled and published in March 1988 under the title "A Study of Text Analysis". Content: (1) considerations of method (6 papers), (2) practical approach (7 papers),(3) cultural context (3 papers), (4) machine processing (3 papers).
