Research Abstract	この総合研究は, 基礎数理の研究に関する長期計画の一部であり, 現在計画されている基礎数理研究所の活動の可能な部分を先取りして実行するため設けられたものであります. 科学研究費総合Aの範囲で, その活動には自ずと限度がありますが, 大別して次の2つを実行しました. (I)我が国の基礎数理の研究の中で, 最も活発な分野で研究集会(出来れば国際的な)をいくつか定期的に行い, あわせて国際的報告集のseries Advanced Studies in Pure Mathematics Kinokuniya-Northhollandを発刊してその成果を発表する. 前期のVol.1〜9に続き Vol.10 Algebraic geometry Vol.11 Commutative algebra and Combinatorics Vol.12 K-theory and Number Theory Vol.13 Algebraic Number Theory Vol.14 Analysis on homogeneous spaces Vol.15 Number theoretic varieties Vol.16 Mathematical Physics Vol.17 Number theory 以上の報告集の題名より, その内容をくみ取っていただくことにします. (II)重要な研究を進行中の研究者を, その研究完成にとって最も適切な研究機関に派遣して, 活動を促進すること.
