Research Abstract |
The studies of our team deal with the relationship between dose-response curves and receptor bindings for variou agonists, the classification of receptor-subtypes, the desensitization mechanisms for agonists and the receptor functons in the disease animals. 1. Studies on ACh receptors: Kawashima clarified the <M_2> -receptor on the guinea-pig ileum. Watanabe showed the release of relaxing subustnces from iris smooth muscle induced by ACh. Takayanagi showed the changes of agonist activities by efficacy and receptor binding. Yoshida estimated the 3 binding portions of <M_2> -muscarinic receptor. Gomi analyzed the activity of agonists and Ca. Utida showed the mechanisms of ACh desensitization on the single smooth muscle cells. Kimura demonstrated the change of ACh receptors in the diabete mice. 2. The receptor mechanisms on the blood vessels: Tomita demonstrated the inhibitoy mechanisms of <alpha> and <beta> receptors by K conductance. Toda clarified the subtypes of histamine receptors on the coronary arteies from man and monkey. Ishida demonstrated the subtype of purinergic receptors on rabbit basilar artery. Kasuya showed that one of factors in the augmentation of adrenaline activity of the diabate rats was due to the endothelium-mediated vasodilation. 3. Receptor mechnisms of autacoids: Kuriyama classified the subtypes of histamie on the lung artery from guinea-pig. Kubota demonstrated the receptor of cholecystokinin on the ginea-pig gall bladder. Fukuda estimated the relationship between the GABA receptor and Cl channel on the cultured chick spinal cord neurons.
