Research Abstract

In extrapyramidal disorders, the alternations of servral neurotransmitter contents in the brain were well know. But, many studies for them were experimented - the postmortam state. So, it is well known that the some discrepancies were present between postmortam states and clinical states. We examined their products such as HVA and 5-HIAA in the cerebrospinal fluid. So, the results were shown as bellow;
1) In HVA contents, Parkinson's disease and SDS( Shy-Drager syndrome) were same in their contents, but In OPCA group, the contents was higher than in Parkinson's disease.
2) In Parkinson's disease, sevelity score of Yahr was severer and severer, the contents of HVA and 5-HIAA were lower and lower.
3) It was recomended that in the cerebrospinal HVA contents was suspected the efficacy of the anti-Parkinsonian drugs.
