Research Abstract |
As the theory of structural mechanics in the past was the means of solving each structure as easily as possible, it was developed not by composing mechanics systematically, but by solving a mechanisum of each structure. Recently a rapid progress of computerization changed the past structural mechanics to the more adaptable froms for computers and unified the structure-oriented mechanics into a new systematic and generalized mechanics. It followed the needs for changing the university education on structural mechanics. The purpose of this report is to investigate the present university curriculum of structural mechanics and to search for the more desirable education on structural mechanics based on the recent computerization. The report includes the adaptabilities on CAD/CAM, CAI, knowledge engineering and so on.
