Research Abstract |
A cooperativt research entitled "Design and Synthesis of Polymers with the Object of Molecular-Information Materials" was carried out with 17 polymer scientists for 2 years. The results of the research can be summarized as follows; Preparation of polymers having porphyrine complexes as a pendant group (S. Nozakura), Molecular design of polymer liquid crystallines with photofunctionality (M. Yamamoto), Preparation of conductive polymer composite materials having molecular information conversion functionality (T. Shimizu), Study of polymer complexes as a carbonmonoxide censor (H. Hirai), Study of light energy conversion divices using intramolecular electron transfer processes (T. Matsuo), Pendant group interactions in polymers having viologen structure (T. Endo), Preparation of functional ultrathin polymer films by LB technique (K. Fukuda), Design of molecular information material with artificial bilayer membranes (T. Kunitake), Photoinduced electron transfer processes in LB films (M. Matsuda), Ion-tunneling in polyelectrolyte materixes (E. Tsuchida), Design of molecular information materials with synthetic poly(amino acids) (S. Inoue), Preparation of Photoresponsive polymers (S.
